    Community Colleges

Community colleges offering different programs, smaller classes, and a completely different learning environment from universities, and so they are a great option for those who don't want to spend 4 years at university. These 2-year institutions--which can be public, private, faith-affiliated or secular--award mostly associate's degrees, diplomas and certificates and pride themselves on serving the people of their communities.

When it comes to programs in religious and theological studies, community colleges offer lots of specialized programs simply not available at larger 4-year institutions. For example, there are a number of Christian community colleges with programs emphasizing spiritual formation, professional ministry and theological seminary studies. The smaller size of community colleges and the hands-on, student-centered teaching allows for non-traditional learning experiences. Many community college programs prepare you for direct employment, but also allow you to transfer credit to certain university programs. Whether you're looking to develop more solid roots in your own community, or use your college study as a chance to experience a different community away from home, community colleges in the US are a great option. So for a solid and innovative education, search for community colleges with religious and theological studies programs today.
